Course: Freedom from Within - Choosing a Path to Happiness ~ Aug. 17

Sunday, Aug 17th - Sunday, Aug 17th
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Kadampa Buddhist Temple
Reed Sherman

We try and try to free ourselves from frustration and dissatisfaction, yet our discomfort in this life never seems to cease. Don't give up! Freedom does exist, we need only turn our attention to the true obstacles to freedom, which are within each of us. Doing this is a choice and no one can force us to develop the warm heart, poise, clarity and wisdom we need to feel free.

On this day, we will look at Buddha's suggested methods for making this choice and moving toward a sturdy, sublime and sustained experience of happiness which we may then share with those around us.

This lighthearted, compelling talk will include guided meditations and an opportunity to ask questions.

This retreat will be a follow-up to the teachings given by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso at the 2008 Summer Festival in England.
